Why Athena As The Ruler?
Athena has many great skills and qualities.
Athena has many great skills and qualities.
Athena: The Goddess Of Wisdom
Athena would be a great ruler of Mount Olympus because not only is she the goddess of wisdom, but she is also the goddess of: courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. These characteristics that Athena shows are all essential to be a successful leader of Mount Olympus.
Tales of Athena:
When Metis, the wife of Zeus became pregnant with their first child, Zeus became fearful. After consulting with a prophet, Zeus discovers that his child will be a girl that will one day be wiser than himself. Afraid of losing his kingdom, Zeus swallows Metis before his baby can be born. He is soon overcome with a painful headache and orders Hephaestus to perform emergency surgery on his head. When cutting open Zeus' skull, out came Athena, wearing a full suit of armor. Athena proves right from birth that she is strong, determined and not to be underestimated or overlooked. Athena refuses to be overlooked when it comes to the election as well. As leader of Mount Olympus, Athena would be able to face and overcome challenges, just as she had to at birth.
The small city of Athens was in need of a new ruler, and Athena and Poseidon were both battling for control. With the citizens of the village refusing to pick a leader in fear of angering the losing god, Athena proposed that both she and Poseidon should give a gift to the city and whoever presented the more useful offering would be crowned ruler. Poseidon agreed to this. Striking the ground with his trident, Poseidon offered the city a horse equipped for war. Athena pointed out that although this horse would in fact bring peace, it would first bring destruction and harm to the people of the city. With the gentle tap of her spear, Athena presented an olive tree. The vote was unanimous; Athena claimed victory. From this tale, we learn that Athena has a vision of peace and growth, for the olive tree provided the essential resources for the people of Athens and therefore the citizens could live in harmony eliminating the need for greed or war.
Athena was also well known for helping other gods. Hercules, a man once considered a hero had gone completely mad and had already killed his children. Athena intervened before the situation could get any worst. Just as Hercules was about to kill his father, Amphitryon, Athena threw a boulder in his direction before he could. This myth proves Athena's ability to keep her citizens safe, and if elected leader of Mount Olympus would be able to protect the people of the city and restore peace between enemies.
These tales of Athena are evidence that she would be a strong and capable leader who would always have the best interests of people in mind, making Athena the smart choice for ruler of Mount Olympus.

The Truth About The Other Gods...
Why Hephaestus should not be elected?
Hephaestus should definitely NOT be voted as the ruler of Mount Olympus, because a leader should be trustworthy and he is not that at all. An example of this is because he was supposed to be Kratos' alliance, although Hephaestus ended up turning against him, and Hephaestus ended up killing Kratos. This shows that Hephaestus isn't trustworthy.
Why Poseidon should not be elected?
Poseidon should not be voted because he raped Aethra which resulted in the birth of Theseus; and he turned Caeneus into a man, at her request, after raping her.
Why Hades should not be elected?
Hades should not be voted because Persephone did not submit to Hades willingly, but was abducted by him while picking flowers in the fields of Nysa. Hades then forced her to marry him.
Why Cupid Should not be elected?
Cupid should not be elected leader of Mount Olympus for one simple reason: He manipulates people's emotions. Cupid, being the god of desire and affection, is well known for shooting people with his famous arrows to make them fall in love. Cupid shows just how difficult match making can be, for he has shot himself with his own arrow, leading him to fall in love with the beautiful psyche. For this, Cupid is a prime example of recklessness. How can we trust someone that so easily manipulates our feelings?
Why Ares should not be elected?
Ares, the god of war, is the most unpopular of all the Olympians. He is hated by his parents and almost all other gods simply because he is has a disgusting taste for bloodshed. If Ares craves the destruction of others, how can we trust him to have the best intentions for the people of Mount Olympus? Also, by many, Ares is described as cowardice. Being the god of War, you'd think Ares would be the braver than any other, but Ares has a reputation of fleeing when the going gets tough, giving him this unhonourable title. Ares also has a reputation for switching opposing sides of combat often, depending one who looks to be winning. If Ares cannot be loyal in battle, how can we expect him to be loyal to the people of Mount Olympus? To think, after listing all of these bad qualities, I still have one more: The final reason why Ares should not be elected leader of Mount Olympus is because he is untrustworthy. Ares had a total of five children with Aphrodite, the goddess of love. All of these children were born while Aphrodite was still married to Hephaestus, Ares' own brother. After hearing all of this, ask yourself this, can you help but wonder how what good Ares could really do for Mount Olympus?
Why Aphrodite Should Not Be Elected?
Aphrodite, the greekgoddess of love and beauty isn't as perfect as she may seem. Aphrodite is not a loyal person whatsoever. Aphrodite cheated on her husband Hephaestus, and this was a terrible move. As a leader, you wouldn't want Aphrodite because she is not loyal and she is another one who isn't trustworthy. This would not make as a good leader.
Why Zeus should not be voted?
He ate his first new son, because he thought his new son was going to be stronger than him. Do you really want to vote a god who ate his son? The awnser is no
